Police seeking suspect in armed bank robbery

Police are searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of the Bank of America location at 3400 E. Grand River Ave. in Genoa Township, just east of The Home Depot, on Thursday, Jan. 11.

Police say the sole suspect entered the bank at about 2 p.m., presented a note to the teller, showed a handgun, and asked for all the money. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin goatee. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood, a black skull cap, and dark-colored gloves. Police say the investigation so far indicates the suspect left in a 1998-2002 maroon Chevy Venture minivan.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information can contact Det. Marc King at (517) 540-7953, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
