Judge denies bond for man charged with criminal sexual conduct

Robert Keith Sohn

On Aug. 18, 2020, Robert Keith Sohn was arraigned at the 53rd District in Howell and was denied bond after being charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

According to a criminal defense attorney, on Aug. 16, 2020, at approximately 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to an indecent exposure complaint at a residence in Marion Township.

A subsequent investigation revealed that while attending a small residential gathering, a 41-year-old neighbor is alleged to have criminally sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy who had also attended the gathering.

Deputies located the suspect at his nearby residence and took him into custody without incident. According to a criminal defense attorney, the suspect is lodged at the Livingston County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.

According to a news report, Sohn was paroled last September after serving five years of a possible 15 years in prison for five counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct of a child under the age of 13.
