ORV operator in critical condition after accident on Bull Run Road

The driver of an off-road vehicle is in critical condition at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing after a crash on Bull Run Road, south of West Coon Lake Road in Iosco Township, at about 12:35 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020.

According to a release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, a 48-year-old Gregory resident was traveling north on Bull Run road in a 2008 Ford F-250 when the ORV, which was traveling south on Bull Run Road, turned left into the Ford’s path of travel.

The ORV operator, a 76-year-old Gregory resident, was not using the ORV’s seat belt and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and was ejected. He was transported to Sparrow Hospital by Livingston County EMS in critical condition.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Fowlerville Fire Department and Livingston County Ambulance. The incident remains under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Team.
