Historic Howell Theater celebrating 90th birthday Dec. 11

You’re invited to help celebrate 90 years of Historic Howell Theater, beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Admission is free, and birthday activities include:

• Free screening of the classic comedy “Sherlock Jr.”, starring Buster Keaton.

• Free cupcakes (while supplies last)

• Free raffle: enter to win 4 HHT general movie tickets, 4 large popcorns, four large fountain drinks.

The Historic Howell Theater is located at 315 E. Grand River Ave. in the heart of downtown Howell.

Plot: A film projectionist longs to be a detective, and puts his meager skills to work when he is framed by a rival for stealing his girlfriend’s father’s pocket watch.
