Howell Public Schools will host open interviews for special education paraprofessionals from 9-11 .m. Tuesday, June 9, and noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the district’s administrative offices at 411 N. Highlander Way in Howell. Interested candidates will meet with members of the district’s special education team to learn about the role and interview for open positions at the elementary and middle school levels. Applicants are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume to the interview.
“The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students, works well in a team environment, and has strong communication skills,” said Malissa Patrick, Howell Public Schools director of special education. “Our paraprofessionals play an essential role in supporting student success and helping create positive learning experiences each day.”
Candidates must also meet state educational requirements for special education paraprofessionals, including completion of at least two years of college coursework, an associate degree or higher, or qualifying assessment scores as outlined by the Michigan Department of Education.
