Howell Area Junior Football League cancels fall season

Just hours after the Michigan High School Athletic Association announced that the fall football season would be canceled and moved to the spring, a local youth league followed suit.

The Howell Area Junior Football League announced that it was canceling its fall season, as well. The league posted it on its Facebook page:

Due to today’s MHSAA announcement, the 2020 Howell junior football and cheer season has been cancelled. We share your disappointment. We are hopeful to have a spring season, but there are many details to be worked out between now and then. Stay tuned.

  1. These kids needed this and I feel it was way premature to make that call. Everyone worked really hard for a week worth of practice just to be disappointed by the call. However, I understand the reasons! but they could have waited and allowed this kids to have some outside fun. This 2020 season has been a bad one for children that don’t quite understand and it’s majorly disappointing.
