The Livingston Post is sponsoring Steven Spielberg’s “The Post” at the Howell Theater. The film, which is racking up a slew of awards and sees Meryl Streep breaking her own Oscar record for most nominations in a lifetime, runs Feb. 2-15 — and we’re giving away tickets to the showing of your choice.
To win, simply leave a comment at the end of this post. We will pick winners for pairs of tickets at random on Thursday, Feb. 1. Winners will be listed on The Livingston Post’s Facebook page.
The Pentagon Papers — a collection of documents detailing U.S. involvement in Vietnam for over two decades that revealed the government had lied to Americans about the war — were published by The Washington Post in 1971 despite opposition from the Nixon administration.
The film — which celebrates the First Amendment and freedom of the press — stars Streep as Washington Post publisher Katherine Graham, and Tom Hanks as iconic editor Ben Bradlee.

They say that truth is stranger than fiction. This movie reflects a time when journalistic integrity rises to the occasion. It’s the Fourth Estate at its best! Patiently awaiting this movie’s release!
