Hartland dancers raising money for trip to perform at Disney

Members of Dynamic Expressions – Hartland Community Education’s dance program – will once again embark on the trip of a lifetime.  In June 2016, they’re headed to Orlando, Florida to dance at Walt Disney World with other students from around the globe!

The local dance program first sent a group of dancers to Disney in 2012, and again in 2014. The experience was so “magical”, many are looking to repeat the experience, alongside some new to the trip.  As part of the “Dance The World” experience, the girls get to dance in a parade in EPCOT, and also do a 2nd performance (of their own original choreography) on stage in Hollywood Studios.

The girls work very hard to make this a reality, putting in extra practice throughout the school year after their regular dance class has completed, to learn their Disney dances.  They also are working hard to raise funds for the trip.

Dynamic Expressions has planned a fantastic evening of family fun on Friday, January 29, with dinner, trivia, and a silent auction, with all proceeds going to the dancers and their families to cover travel costs.  Silent auction items include 4 lower bowl tickets to Detroit Pistons games, autographed items from the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers, gift certificates from Paint and Pour, golf and time in their simulator from Ironwood, among many other gift certificates to local restaurants, items from local businesses, and more!

Dynamic Expressions would like to thank Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza, Hartland Community Education, The Crofoot, Royal Oak Music Theatre, Fusion Shows, FAO Jewelers, Rollerama, Stonekast Studios, Cooper and Binkley, Bagger Dave’s, Waldenwoods, Hartland Players, Buffalo Wild Wings, Ironwood Golf Course, Oh My Lolli, Meijer, Walmart, Costco, Hartland Glen, Sky Zone, MJR Theaters, Arbor Teas, Hartland Pool, The Stafford Family, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers, Paint & Pour, Rottermond Jewelers, Black Rock, Smoke House BBQ, UPS Store, Get Headbandz, Thirty-One, Me & the Mouse Travel, doTERRA, Joy Harvey, LMT, Norwex, Guido’s & Still Point Wellness for their very generous donations and support!

The fundraising event will take place at the Hartland Educational Support Services Center (the old Hartland High School) at 9525 E. Highland Rd, just west of Target. Dinner starts at 6:15 pm, with trivia to follow at 7pm. There will be 2 rounds of “family trivia” included with dinner and then the main game will begin.  Silent auction bidding will be open until approximately 8:30pm.  Dinner costs $5 per person.  Entering the trivia game, which will take about an hour and will feature approximately 60 to 70 questions, is also $5.  There will be a cash prize for the winning team.  Participation in the silent auction is free. Choose one or all to participate in!

Childcare is free (donations welcome) by the high school dance students, with the kids being able to dance and do activities one of the school’s two dance studios.
