Governor reappoints Brighton woman to gun violence prevention task force

Danielle Hagaman-Clark of Brighton has been reappointed to the Michigan Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.

The task force is housed within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and charged with identifying the root causes of gun violence by compiling and reporting relevant data, maximizing existing resources, soliciting perspectives from diverse stakeholders, and recommending policy to save lives. The group’s members reflect a wide range of stakeholders, including state department directors, medical experts, law enforcement professionals, tribal representatives, and more.

Hagaman-Clark is appointed as an individual with experience working with survivors of domestic violence and abuse for a term commencing June 23, 2026, and expiring June 22, 2030.

Previously, Hagaman-Clark served as a Michigan assistant attorney general, and as director of the Violence Against Women Program at the Prosecuting Attorney’s Association of Michigan. Hagaman-Clark holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

This appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
