Dance Express is the award-winning competition dance troupe from Maria’s School of Dance in Fowlerville, and they’re coming off a stellar competition season.

In March, the Dance Express team took top honors at the Access Broadway competition in Troy, earning the prestigious “Best Dance Studio” award. Dance Express also won top honors for “Best Choreography” (given to choreographer Marissa Leonard for a group number called “Europe After the Rain”), and came home with dozens of other trophies and Platinum awards.

Most recently, Dance Express won numerous Platinum awards and other top honors at the Encore dance competition in Hartland.

And now, it’s time for local dance fans to see them in action.

All of their award-winning numbers from this season’s competitions will be performed at “Dancing on the Edge” – a variety of small-group, large-group and solo numbers covering every discipline from tap to jazz to lyrical and more. Several singing numbers will also be performed.

Dance Express will also be honoring its graduating high school seniors at the show, including Raechelle Bolling and Brittany Bush from Fowlerville High School and Erin Canfield from Williamston High School.
