Lindbom Elementary School was once a vibrant part of the community in the City of Brighton, as a true neighborhood school.
The Brighton Area Schools district closed Lindbom in 2010, though, and it’s been sitting vacant since then. A developer bought the property in 2015 for $1.45 million, with plans on turning it into a charter school. When that plan didn’t pan out, the focus shifted toward turning the property into a senior housing development.
That plan went before the Brighton Planning Commission earlier this month, and it was tabled.
But since it’s been closed for eight years, we got to wondering what Lindbom Elementary School looks like these days. So we sent the Livingston Post’s drone over there for a flyover, and here’s what we saw:
