Sears store at Ann Arbor’s Briarwood Mall is closing

The Sears store at Ann Arbor’s Briarwood Mall has been around since the mall opened in the early 1970s, but the store will be closing at the end of the year. You’ll find the story here.

Sears announced on Monday that it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closing 142 Sears and Kmart stores across the country. It was confirmed that four Michigan locations were among the closings, including the Briarwood Mall location.
