Expectations are high for a veteran Michigan State football team this season, as the Spartans get set to kick off the 2018 season on Friday night at home against Utah State.

And this year’s MSU roster features a player from Livingston County.

Blake Bueter of Howell is a 6-4, 308-pound redshirt freshman offensive lineman for the Spartans. Bueter attended high school at Detroit Catholic Central, where he excelled on both sides of the line. He received several scholarship offers out of high school, but elected to be a preferred walk-on at MSU.

Bueter redshirted during his freshman year, and he’s expected to help provide depth along the offensive line this year. Look for him wearing No. 66 this season.

You’ll find Bueter’s full bio here.
