Maximus Fitness Center in Fowlerville closing its doors for good due to COVID-19 shutdown

Another Livingston County business has fallen victim to the COVID-19 shutdown.

Maximus Fitness Center, located at 8067 Country Corner Dr. in Fowlerville, announced on Facebook today that it will not be reopening. The gym has been shut down since March by order of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. She still has not announced the date when gyms in this part of the state can reopen.

Maximus posted on its Facebook page:

I have been dreading this day and dragging my feet as this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I have to inform you that Maximus will not be reopening. My heart is breaking and the rose colored glasses I wear is making it so difficult to see reality. The COVID-19 has placed us in a position that we can’t recover from. I have been at Maximus for 10 years and have gained so many relationships with the most fantastic people in this community. We have laughed,Cried, and celebrated life things under this roof. Thank you all who supported the gym and helped along the way. I always said it takes a village to run a gym. I love you all and Thank you for the friendships I have gained.

It’s the second business in Fowlerville to close due to the COVID-19 shutdown. Grille in the Ville announced in March that it would also be closing its doors for good.
