Dear Howell Community,
On behalf of the students, staff, administration, and Board of Education of Howell Public Schools, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to each of you who supported the Howell Public Schools “Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future” bond proposal on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
The approval of this bond will allow us to make generational and transformational improvements to our district and community. Our students will continue to have access to state-of-the-art learning tools and will attend schools in safe and modern learning environments that match the incredible instruction that happens each day at Howell Public Schools. Additionally, our students, families, and community will have access to a new multi-purpose community center designed to meet various district and community needs.
A high-quality school district is one of the critically essential elements in any vibrant community. The passage of the bond and investment in our district will make us a stronger community. It will help support home values and attract new families to the area. Most importantly, it will ensure that our students come to a safe and comfortable learning environment each day.
With this approval, we will begin taking the necessary steps to issue the bonds and formally name our architectural and construction management firms. Following these initial actions, we will launch an extensive design phase, including gathering staff, students, family, and community feedback to contribute to the blueprint of the replacement and renovated schools as well as the community center.
In closing, I would once again like to thank each of you who supported this proposal. The support from our community is one of the many reasons that Highlander Nation is such an incredible place to live, work, and attend school.
