June is LGBTQ Pride Month. To celebrate, M Street Baking Co. in downtown Howell has created a special “Rainbow Box,” a collection of colorful sweet treats.

The Rainbow Box sells for $65, and includes a six-pack of cupcakes, a six-pack of chocolate-covered pretzels, an orange soda, a rainbow rice crispy, a cake pop, six rainbow chocolate chip cookies, sprinkle edible cookie dough, sugar cookie dippers, and gum balls. Items are also available for purchase separately. Click here for pricing and ordering.

At the end of June, M Street Baking Co. will make a donation to the Livingston County Diversity Council/Pride Alliance of Livingston County.

Pride Month takes place in June because the Stonewall Riots — also known as the Stonewall Uprising — took place at the end of the month in 1969. Police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Greenwich Village in New York City, sparking a riot that led to six days of protests and violent clashes. M Street Baking Co. — famous for its elaborate milk shakes and baked goods — is located at 117 N. Michigan Ave. in downtown Howell. At the current time, the store is open for pre-order pickups only from noon to 1 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. You can check out the business, as well as shop and order online, by clicking here.
