2017 marks the 40th school year for Hornung Elementary School in Brighton. To honor this milestone, a 40th anniversary celebration will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017.
Students who have attended Hornung in the past, as well as former staff, are invited to attend the festivities.
Former teachers and other building staff are invited to attend a reunion luncheon at noon hosted by the Hornung PTO. Those interested in attending the luncheon should contact Hornung at (810) 299-4450.
There will also be an all-school assembly welcoming several past principals with entertainment provided by the Hornung Chorus.
Alumni are welcome to visit Hornung that evening to visit with past teachers and friends. An open house will be hosted from 5-8 p.m. There will be food vendors, building tours, live entertainment and memorabilia exhibits.
