First Presbyterian of Howell welcomes director of music ministries

/

Jeremy Hutson of Fenton is the new director of music ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Howell. A career musician, internationall acclaimed guitarist, and educator, Hutson was previously worship director at Highland United Methodist Church.

The hiring of Hutson brings First Presbyterian a step closer to its two-part goal of community involvement and musical excellence. The church is actively working to fill other important positions as part of this ongoing plan of growth and development.

“After decades of working in various areas of the music field, I am so blessed by this wonderful opportunity to support this church and the community of Howell in my new role as Director of Music Ministries.” Hutson said.

Known in the area for its longtime childcare center, tremendous building, and landmark location, First Presbyterian hopes to expand its community involvement by offering music enrichment programs, as well as the church’s substantial facilities, to community organizations and businesses, as well as a beautiful setting for weddings, funerals, and other events.

The church has many service opportunities as part of its music program, including a chancel choir, hand-bell choir, special music, and more.

If you have any questions, call the church at (517) 546-0290, or email Hutson at jhutson@FPCHowell.org.
