Country bar/dance hall/restaurant proposed for former Border Cantina site

/

Gone is the Border Cantina, one of Livingston County’s most-popular Mexican restaurants for over two decades. But a new country bar/dance hall/restaurant that will be called Single Barrel Social is in the offing — you can read about it in this WHMI News story.

Located at 8472 W. Grand River Ave. in Brighton, the former Border Cantina closed abruptly in January, leaving employees without jobs and denying longtime patrons the chance to enjoy one last meal there.

The site plan for the renovation and expansion of the building is set to go before the Brighton Planning Commission on May 21.

  1. I think that location would be better served by a different venue.
I think that use is out of vogue for this area
