Amber Reineck House holds gala fundraising dinner Feb. 16 at Crystal Gardens

The Amber Reineck House is hosting its 2nd Annual Gala Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Crystal Gardens in Genoa Township.

The event will feature dinner; musical entertainment by Joe Jaber and Scottie Alexander Entertainment; raffles and more.

“Refocused, Reenergized, Ready for Recovery 2019” is the theme. All proceeds from the gala will help to establish recovery housing in Livingston County, provide substance use education, and outreach in our community.

Tickets to the Amber Reineck House Gala are $85 per person or $800 for a table of 10.

The event will also offer guests the opportunity to securely and safely dispose of all unused medications, no questions asked.

“Our vision is to reduce the stigma associated with substance use disorder by building a recovery-friendly community, providing education and increasing acceptance and support,” the organization said in a press release. “Our goal is to acquire and staff a fully functional long-term recovery home for women in Livingston County. There is a dire need for a sober living home for women in our community. Currently, there are no free-standing sober living homes available for women in our community, making this effort even more imperative. Statistics have shown that persons who take up residence in a sober living home in early recovery will have a better success at establishing and maintaining a life in recovery.”
