Zachary Hines wins Lanny Davis scholarship from CTH

//

The Community Theatre of Howell awarded the 2014 Lanny F. Davis Memorial Scholarship to 19-year-old Zachary Hines of Gregory. Hines says he acquired his love of performing after appearing in HONK! in 2003, his first CTH show. Through the years since, he has appeared in many productions including Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, School House Rock, The Wedding Singer, and The Little Mermaid. The $300 grant will allow Hines to continue his love of theater as he begins a course of study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

CTH presents scholarships up to $300 to graduating seniors who intend to pursue a major in a two-year or four-year performing arts (acting, directing, design, technical, dance, vocal, instrumental performance, teacher of the performing arts, video/film production, or management) curriculum.

The award is named in honor of Lanny Davis, a long-time and beloved member of CTH, who passed away in 2011.
