One of Livingston County’s hottest primary elections in August will be the open race for the newly created 44th Circuit Court judgeship. Four candidates are in the running, and the top two finishers in the Aug. 7 primary will advance to the general election in November.
All four candidates – Dennis Brewer, Monica Copeland, L. Suzanne Geddis and Tara Pearson – attended the July 12 candidate forum in Hartland, which was sponsored by a host of community organizations, including the Livingston Post.
One of the most interesting parts of the forum came during the closing statements, when each candidate was able to make their case for why they should be elected. Here’s a look at all four of the closing statements:
