U.S 23 roadwork in Brighton set to run through May 24

Construction on U.S. 23 in the Brighton area will see the following traffic restrictions in effect beginning on Thursday and ending on or about Friday, May 24:

• Northbound U.S. 23 will be closed intermittently at Grand River Avenue from 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. (CLICK HERE for map.)

• Southbound U.S. 23 will be closed intermittently from Spencer Road to I-96 from 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, to 5 a.m. Friday, May 24. (CLICK HERE for map.)

• The northbound U.S. 23 ramp to eastbound I-96 will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. Traffic will be detoured via westbound I-96 and Spencer Road to eastbound I-96. (CLICK HERE for map.)

• The southbound U.S. 23 ramp to westbound I-96 will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, to 5 1.m. Thursday, May 23. Traffic will be detoured via eastbound I-96 and Kensington Road to westbound I-96. (CLICK HERE for map.)

• The eastbound I-96 ramp to southbound U.S. 23 will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, May 23, to 5 a.m. Friday, May 24. Traffic will be detoured via Kensington Road and westbound I-96 to southbound U.S. 23. (CLICK HERE for map.)

Motorists are advised to see alternate routes.

These improvements will provide increased safety and mobility in this area of U.S. 23, which is a significant state, national and international trade corridor.
