Tyrone resident killed in single-motorcycle crash

A 52-year-old Tyrone Township resident was killed in a single-motorcycle crash at White Lake Road near Forest Hills Drive in Tyrone Township at approximately 12:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019.

The preliminary investigation shows that the Tyrone resident was traveling east on White Lake Road on a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle when it left the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle then re-entered the roadway and overturned near Forest Hills Drive. The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Livingston County EMS.

Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash, though alcohol use is investigated.

Deputies of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office were assisted not he scene by Fenton Fire Department and Livingston County Ambulance.
