Theis elected to Michigan senate leadership

Senator-elect Lana Theis, R-Brighton, was elected as the Assistant President Pro Tempore this morning by the incoming Senate Republican majority.

“It is truly an honor to be selected by my peers to serve as a member of the Senate leadership team,” said Theis. “I look forward to working with my colleagues toward continuing Michigan’s success.”

Theis currently serves as the 42nd district state house rep. She was first elected in 2014 and currently serves as assistant majority floor leader in the state House, as well as the chair of the Committee on Insurance.
