The Mommologues set to entertain you on April 21 at the Howell Opera House

//

This is the third year that I am partnering with my talented friend Mona Shand (who recently scored an honorable mention in the Erma Bombeck writing competition) to present “The Mommologues: Tales from the Front,” a fun evening of stories and readings revolving around motherhood.

The event serves a much-higher purpose, though: As well as being a precursor to Mother’s Day, it raises money for LACASA, the organization in Livingston County that works with the victims and survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence.

I am excited to be sharing the stage with Mona, as well as some of Livingston County’s best writers and storytellers: Renee Chodkowski (aka, The Great Foodini), Pat Convery, Jeff Doyle, Christina Kafkakis, Jenn McKee, Arla McPeek, Buddy Moorehouse, and Lisa Nelson. The pieces for the evening run the gamut, from serious and touching to sidesplittingly funny, so come prepared. There will also be a cash bar available.

“The Mommologues: Tales from the Front” begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the historical Howell Opera House. Tickets are $15 each, and you can get yours by clicking here.

The Livingston Post is a proud sponsor of the event.
