Santa, reindeer heading to Brighton Library for open house

Ring in the holiday cheer at the Brighton Library’s Holiday Open House Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018. Meet Santa and his reindeer, enjoy music, bell ringing, treats, stories and crafts. All ages are welcome and admission is free.

Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a special visit from one of Santa’s magical reindeer. Kids can meet throughout the day with jolly old Saint Nick who’ll have arrived straight from the North Pole to hear their wishes for Christmas. Pictures are welcome!

Enjoy sounds and songs of the season with a performance by Vintage Strings Band from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. These outstanding musicians perform on banjo, guitar, mandolin, twin fiddles, hammer dulcimers, harmonica, harp and keyboard. It’s a great concert for all ages.

Let the bells ring with holiday favorites. Families are invited to join us for ringing and singing with the First United Methodist Church of Brighton Bell Choir from 1-1:30 p.m.

Throughout the day there will be crafts for kids to make, holiday stories and winter tales, cookies and refreshments, and fun for everyone!

The Holiday Open House is made possible by the Friends of the Brighton District Library. The Library is located at 100 Library Drive, Brighton. For information call 810-229-6571 ext. 223.
