Primary candidate forum set for July 12


The Livingston Post is proud to be one of the sponsors of the candidate forum for the Aug. 7 primary, which is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the auditorium of the Hartland Educational Support Services Center at 9525 Highland Road (the old Hartland High School).

The forum will be moderated by Jon King of WHMI-93.5 FM.

Other sponsors include WHMI-93.5 FM, as well as Voter’s Voice, the League of Women Voters of Brighton/Howell, and the chambers of commerce in Brighton, Hartland and Howell.

The Livingston Post is helping collect submissions that will be used to fashion the final questions for the forum. You can submit a question for one or all of the primary races below. There are races in the primary for both Republicans and Democrats in the 8th Congressional District; Republicans in the 22nd District state Senate race; and for the new 44th Circuit Court Judicial race.

A forum for the general election has been set for 6:30 p.m Thursday, Oct. 4, in the same location.

Your questions for the primary need to be submitted by Friday, June 22, 2018.
