Two people who appear to be white males in their late teens or early 20s broke in Vapejoose at 6163 Grand River Ave. in Genoa Township at about 1:20 a.m. and 3 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2019.

According to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the first alarm at the business and found both doors to be secure, with no signs of attempted forced entry. Upon responding to the second alarm, deputies found the rear door to be open. Video evidence later confirmed that the same two subjects entered the business both times, stealing vaping devices, and leaving after the audible alarm activated.

Videos of the break-in are posted on the Vapejoose Brighton Facebook page. It’s estimated that around $1,300 worth of vape devices were stolen.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining additional information regarding this incident. Anyone with any information about this crime is encouraged to contact Detective Marc King at 517-540-7953 or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
