The Livingston County Sheriffs Office has identified the woman killed in the Saturday, March 9, 2019, crash on Golf Club Road near Hughes Road in Oceola township as Gerri Ann Kuck, 40, of Howell.

Deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the crash site at approximately 6:50 p.m. Their preliminary investigation reveals that a 47-year-old Howell man was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck that was heading west on Golf Club Road when it left the roadway, striking mailboxes, driveway culverts, and a guard rail. During the crash, the vehicle became airborne, ejecting one of the three people inside; the ejected passenger was Kuck, who was pronounced deceased at the scene by Livingston County EMS.

The remaining occupants were transported by Livingston County EMS to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor in serious condition.

The intersection of Golf Club and North Hughes roads was closed for approximately four hours during the investigation.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, while, drug, alcohol, and seat belt use for all the occupants of the truck remain under investigation by the Livingston County Major Crash Team.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by personnel from the Howell Area Fire Department, Livingston County EMS, and Green Oak Township Police.
