Pistons suite proceeds will help local victims

February 23, 2016

One lucky bidder will enjoy the luxury of a VIP Suite at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, March 19, 7 p.m., when the Detroit Pistons face off against the Brooklyn Nets.

Energy Design Service Systems (EDSS) of Whitmore Lake has donated the suite package to LACASA Center to help raise funds during an online auction celebrating the agency’s 35th anniversary. All proceeds from the auction will help local victims of child abuse and interpersonal violence.

The suite package, valued at $2,000, includes:

•    12 tickets
•    Up to $600 food & beverage credit*
•    Catered food with dedicated suite attendant
•    Private suite entrances with elevators
•    Private bathroom
•    3 parking passes

Bids can be entered daily via email from now through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The day’s top bid amount will be posted after 5 p.m. daily on LACASA’s webpage at lacasacenter.org and on the agency’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

The minimum starting bid for the package is $1,000. The “buy-it-now” bid is $3,500, with the total bid going to LACASA Center for programs and services which help victims of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault in Livingston County.

If a “buy-it-now” bid is submitted, that bidder automatically will win the package and the bidding will conclude. If no “buy-it-now” bid is received, the package will go to the individual with the highest bid at the conclusion of the auction.

Bids can be entered daily by sending an email to: celebrate35@lacasacenter.org. The subject line should read “Pistons Suite.”

Bidders will receive a confirmation email stating that LACASA has received their bid. Bidders not receiving a confirmation email from LACASA during normal business hours are asked to resend their bid.

Interested bidders also may call Deanna Norris, LACASA community engagement director, at (517) 548-1350 with questions.

The deadline to submit bids is 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

* Note: $600 food & beverage credit total includes sales tax and a 19% service fee. Guests will be responsible for payment covering any food and beverage purchases, sales tax and gratuity that exceed the $600 allowance.
