A special Congressional tribute honoring the life of Megan Palmer, and entered into the record by U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, was presented at the Livingston County Community Alliance’s annual golf outing, held this year in her memory. Palmer was the alliance’s prevention advocate until her death in January (click here for our story), just a month after she was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor on her liver.
The tribute, presented by Mona Shand, Slotkin’s district press secretary and Livingston County field rep, means that Palmer’s story has been recognized on the floor of Congress and entered into the Congressional record. The tribute has also been sent to Palmer’s family.

All proceeds from the golf outing benefit local youth drug prevention programs, and support the LCCA in its mission to reduce and prevent youth substance use.
