Letter to the Editor: Trump’s indifference hurting our health

The most painful revelation of 2020 is Trump’s indifference if Americans live or die. His poor pandemic management follows three years of destroying our natural life support system.

Agencies and laws created to protect us have been hollowed. Air pollutants have increased, vehicle emission standards weakened, hazardous pollutants reclassified to meet lower standards, construction and farming toxins less controlled and The Clean Water Act butchered without thoroughly analyzing impacts on our drinking water.

This damage defies years of scientific research and puts the profits of a few above public health.
Increased exposure to pollutants increases health risks, make those with underlying conditions more vulnerable to life-threatening illnesses and diminishes our quality of life.

Protecting our air and water is protecting our health.
