LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thank you, Buddy, for post on tweeter

Thank you, Buddy, for writing your recent article titled “Will David Reader Prosecute the  ‘Howell-Should-Burn’ tweeter if he wins election?” Please note that it hasn’t been forgotten by Livingston County residents. Isn’t it a shame that our residents can only think about this incident and not speak for fear of being labeled a racist or white supremacist? Again, thanks for having the courage not only speak about it but also to print it on our local news website.
Yes, sadly it has been over four months since this tweet was printed in the now ubiquitous social news media source TWITTER with no action taken by our Livingston County elected officials. Isn’t it amazing that TWITTER would even print this hate-filled garbage when others are dialed down or outright banned from printing what they say is the truth ?
We do live in troubled times, with times being much different than what we the “Baby Boomers” grew up in during the 40’s 50’s and 60’s. Such were the times when neighbors watched out for neighbors, the police were respected as our guardians of safety, student loans didn’t put you in debt for the rest of your life, and families actually included a father, mother, and children related by blood. But realistically you don’t have to be a Baby Boomer to see these changes. Millennials have to live through the reality of not having the luxuries  that we take for granted. Isn’t that sad?
We should all keep in mind that Livingston County residents are hard-working, tax-paying, God-fearing patriots who know in the their hearts what is right and what is wrong. Like all people they too “Have a Dream.” That dream is for “RIGHT To Always WIN.” Is that too much to ask ?
