League of Women Voters starts new unit in Livingston County

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy, is adding a new unit to Livingston County.

The LWV Ann Arbor Area, Brighton/Howell Area Unit will hold its first public meeting on Feb. 21, 2018, at the Howell Carnegie District Library, located at 314 W. Grand River Ave., in downtown Howell. The meeting will be held in the Meabon Room of the Carnegie library, with a meet and greet scheduled at 5:30 p.m. and the general meeting beginning at 6 p.m.

The Ann Arbor League of Women Voters will be presenting ORIENTATION TO THE LEAGUE 2.0 an introduction to the League Basics for members and prospective members. The public is welcome to attend and meet other League members, and find out how to be involved.
