Lake Trust Credit Union — a community-based financial institution headquartered in Livingston County and serving members across Michigan — has hired Linda Douglas of Novi in the role of vice president. Douglas joins the credit union’s leadership team to collaborate in strategies to further Lake Trust’s mission of making a difference in Michigan communities and serving its members throughout the state.

“Linda is going to be a great addition to our organization, and I’m excited to experience the contributions she will bring to Lake Trust,” said Lake Trust Credit Union President and CEO David Snodgrass.

Douglas will lead Lake Trust’s Brand Development and Engagement and Strategic Innovation teams tasked with enhancing the Lake Trust brand, driving growth through innovative products, programs and solutions, and ensuring that the credit union maintains strong connections with the members and communities served by Lake Trust.

Douglas was most recently the senior director of marketing and brand strategy at the University of Michigan’s Office of University Development. Before that she worked at multiple financial organizations including Volkswagen Credit, Michigan First Credit Union, Synergy Bank and its predecessor Synergy Federal Credit Union.

“I’m very excited about joining an accomplished Lake Trust team,” said Douglas. “The team’s success steering the growth of a leading Michigan credit union demonstrates its impressive vision and commitment. Every Lake Trust team member is dedicated to going above and beyond for its members. I also am impressed by its Community Development Financial Institution status and the Lake Trust Foundation’s work in making an impact for local causes across the state.”

Douglas holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and lives in Novi. When not working to serve Lake Trust’s members and its mission, Douglas enjoys spending time with her two daughters and extended family and friends, volunteering, skiing, golfing and traveling. She also serves as a mentor for two Novi FIRST robotics teams.
