Judicial Tenure Commission recommends removing Brennan immediately; read their report

The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission has recommended that Livingston County 53rd District Court Judge Theresa Brennan be removed from office immediately by the Michigan Supreme Court.

The JTC issued its report today. You can read the entire report by clicking HERE.

The JTC found that Brennan committed misconduct by failing to disclose relevant facts regarding her relationship with the lead detective in the Kowalski murder case; that she lied under oath; that she failed to recuse herself from hearing her own divorce case; and that she tampered with evidence.

The JTC also recommends that Brennan pay back $35,570 in court costs and fees.

No word on when the Supreme Court will make the final decision on whether Brennan should be removed.
