Indivisible Livingston hosting series featuring progressive candidates

Indivisible Livingston is hosting a series featuring progressive candidates who support affordable and accessible healthcare; sensible gun legislation; fair immigration policy; racial justice; and ending wealth inequality in Livingston County, Lansing and DC. The series — “Pints and Points” — will be held 6:30-8 p. on the back m. on the patio of Stout’s Irish Pub, 125 E. Grand River Ave. in downtown Brighton.

Here is the summer speaker schedule:

• June 11:
 Chris Smith — Dem. primary candidate U.S. House 8th District; 
Kasey Helton — Dem. candidate for Livingston County Commission District 6; 
Alex Hansen — Dem. candidate for Livingston County Commission District. 5



• June 25:
 Mona Shand — Dem. candidate for Michigan House Rep. 42nd District; 
Colleen Turk — Dem. candidate for Michigan House Rep. 47th District; Andy Spencer — Dem. candidate for MSU Board of Trustees (Dem. candidates decided at August convention)

• July 9:
 Maureen Martin — Dem. candidate for Livingston County Commission District 4; 
Matthew Clayson — Dem. candidate for MSU Board of Trustees (Dem. candidates decided at August convention)

• July 23:
 Elissa Slotkin — Dem. primary candidate Michigan House 8th District; 
Jennifer Garcia — Dem. candidate for Livingston County Commission District  2; 
Steve Savela — Dem. candidate for Livingston County Commission District 3

Aug. 6:
 Adam Dreher — Dem. candidate for Michigan State Senate District 22
; Mona Shand – Dem. candidate for Michigan House Rep. 42nd District
