He’s one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. And his favorite piece of clothing comes from Livingston County.
Ryan Reynolds has been in a slew of blockbusters, but he’s perhaps best known as the title character in the “Deadpool” franchise.
Reynolds was asked five questions about his fashion choices by the New York Times for its “List of Five” feature and this is how he answered the question, “What’s your favorite shirt?”:
“I have an old T-shirt that I’ve had for maybe 18 years. It was black, but is gray now. And on the front it says Zukey Lake Tavern. I don’t even know where that is, but it’s a real tavern somewhere in the United States. I’ve had a couple of people say, “No way! That’s from my hometown.” I got it at a vintage store shortly after I moved to Los Angeles from Vancouver, way the hell long ago. Maybe this was in 1998 when everything in vintage stores was like four bucks.”
He’s not alone. T-shirts from the Zukey Lake Tavern, the iconic restaurant in Hamburg Township, have been spotted all over the world. They still sell the shirts at the restaurant (as seen below), and it sounds like Ryan could use a new one!
