Club America at Hartland High School will collect donations for the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Hospital at this year’s Hartland Memorial Day Parade.
The parade will take place on May 25 at Don Epley Community Park in Hartland.
Parade-goers are asked to bring unused hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and clothes to the Club America booth between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“This collection will benefit the brave men and women who have served our country,” said Anne Marie Yarber, a junior at Hartland High School and president of the Club America chapter.
The booth will also provide materials for parade-goers to make thank you cards for veterans.

Club America is the high school program of 501(c)3 non-profit Turning Point USA (TPUSA). The Hartland High School chapter holds weekly and monthly meetings at which students discuss current events, learn how to respectfully debate, and even perform skits about Constitutional amendments.
The chapter was established shortly after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, conservative leader and founder of TPUSA.
“I hope Club America’s collection will show our gratitude for our veterans and all the sacrifices they’ve made,” Yarber said.
