Three Livingston County women will be honored at Habitat for Humanity of Livingston County’s “Arise & Shine: Winning Women 2018,” set to begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, in the main auditorium of 2/42 Church, 7526 Grand River Ave., Brighton.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch served promptly at noon. The menu includes chili, chicken salad with a crossant, chocolate lava cake, iced tea, water, coffee and tea.

The luncheon is a celebration of courage, strength and dignity, recognizing Livingston County women who have overcome adversity to accomplish great things in their lives and communities. This year Habitat will honor Olivia Venuto (MSU Nassar Survivor); Erica Karfonta (OLHSA director); and Rebecca Gremore (Habitat Partner Family single parent).

There is no charge to attend the event, but RSVPs are required. A goodwill donation to support Habitat’s home building program will be requested. Go to www.livingstonhabitat.org to reserve seats.
