Because of the generous support of our paying subscribers, The Livingston Post has added two writers to provide more coverage of the community. Both writers are experienced journalists, and as longtime residents, they know Livingston County well.
Join us in welcoming them.
Barb Modrack, who lives in Brighton will provide feature stories and resident profiles. You can read her first piece on Lisa Baker Nelson, which ran last week, here.
Barb has worked at the Lansing State Journal, the Flint Journal and the Oakland Press; these days, she is retired and plays tournament euchre and performs standup comedy.
Leah Craig of Howell will be covering the Livingston County Board of Commissioners. Her first stories ran this week. You can read them here and here.
Leah is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, where she studied professional and technical writing with a focus on journalism, rhetoric, and history. She was also named a finalist for the Michigan Press Association’s 2025 Rookie Writer Award.
