Dreaming of a White Christmas in Livingston County? There’s only a slight chance

If Santa Claus is bringing any sleds or toboggans to put under the tree, the kids might have to wait a while to use them. According to the official weather forecast for Livingston County, there’s only a slight chance we’ll have a White Christmas.

The extended forecast shows a slight chance of snow on Christmas Eve, when the temperature will top out at 29 degrees. The official wording for Dec. 24 is “a few snow showers in the morning.” If there’s enough to cover the ground, it will stick around until Christmas.

Until then, though, there’s no snow in the forecast – and a big warm-up on the way this weekend. Temperatures are expected to hit the mid-to-low 40s on both Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of sun in the forecast.

But hey, this is Michigan, and any weather forecast in December can change at a moment’s notice.
