The Livingston Educational Service Agency (Livingston ESA) is gearing up for the 18th annual “Backpacks for Kids” project, which provides Livingston County students whose families are experiencing financial difficulties with basic school supplies at no cost.
The generosity of Livingston County residents, local businesses and community groups, made it possible for over 1,000 Livingston County students to receive backpacks filled with basic school supplies.
If you’d like to donate, you can drop off items or monetary donations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the summer at the Livingston Educational Service Agency, 1425 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell.
For a listing of collection sites, visit LivingstonESA.org and click on the Parent & Community Resources tab. If your organization is interested in becoming a collection site, contact Judy Paulsen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The distribution will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the LESA Education Center. The Connect for Kids event runs the same day, starting at 5:30 p.m.
