HPS District receives report of stranger danger incident in Brighton Village Community

The Howell Public Schools district received a report on the afternoon of Thursday, Jan. 26, that five Three Fires students walking home from their bus stop in the Brighton Village Community were approached by two males in a red and gold mini van.

The males in the van offered the students a ride, at which point the students began to run toward an adult who was walking in the area, causing the van to leave the area.

The incident was reported to the Livingston County Sheriffs Department.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident, contact the Livingston County Sheriff Department at (517) 546-2440. The district has requested that a Sheriff’s Deputy be in the area during bus pickup and drop off times on Friday, Jan. 27.
