CSA Prep Academy robotics team nabs first win, qualifies for state competition

/

On Saturday, Nov. 11, the Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy Middle School Miners robotics team participated in its first competition at Mason Middle School in Mason, Mich.

The team was ranked second overall at the end of qualifying matches.  It was the first pick of the #1 alliance. Its alliance was 2-0 in the semifinals, and 2-1 in the finals to win the event.

This is the first time that the CSPA Miners have won an event, and their third time qualifying for States in their four-year history. Through their success at the Mason qualifier, team members earned a spot to compete at the FIRST in Michigan State Championship, which will be held in Battle Creek in December.
