County Spartans award 15 textbook scholarships

The Livingston County Spartans awarded 15 $1,000 textbook scholarships. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 gift card that will be placed on file for them at the Student Book Store, 431 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, Mich.

The LC Spartans received 33 applications from residents of Livingston County attending eight local high schools. All of the candidates were outstanding. Fifteen Scholarships were awarded this year.

This year’s recipients are:

• Kristen Burkhardt, Fowlerville

• Thomas Coughlin, Brighton

• Lee Grabowski, Brighton

• William Kenney, Howell

• Alex Krause, Hartland

• Spencer Kula, Howell

• Dale Mize, Fowlerville

• Margaret Ozias, Pinckney

• Kate Sauve, Brighton

• Jordan Smith, Fowlerville

• Rachael Stohlin, Howell

• Seth Swihart, Catholic Central

• Wilson Wagner, Pinckney

• Alexander Warshal, Pinckney
