Working with the Michigan Republican Party, the Livingston County Republican Party Executive Committee held an emergency meeting via conference call where new conventions rules were adopted for the March 26 County Convention permitting the convention to be livestreamed, which will allow delegates to vote remotely from home.
“As Michigan and the nation continue to face challenges over the coming weeks in response to COVID-19, my priority as chair of the Livingston County Republican Party is to help to ensure the safety of our precinct delegates by doing our part to help protect the health of our members”, said Meghan Reckling, chair of the Livingston County Republican Party.
Per the Emergency Convention Rules adopted tonight, the LCRP’s County Convention will be Live-streamed on its Facebook Page at www.Facebook.com/LivingstonGOP starting at 7 pm on Thursday, March 26. All delegates eligible to vote will have their username and password for the voting software emailed to them no later than 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25.
“I commend President Trump and Vice-President Pence for their leadership throughout this unprecedented pandemic” Reckling said. “I am proud of our executive committee, which has responded with care and consideration for the onlinecasinogo safety of our delegation. To ensure all delegates can participate, I encourage them to contact me with any questions, concerns, or assistance they may have prior to gaveling in the county convention.”
