Carol Griffith, vice president/broker and co-owner of Griffith Realty in Brighton, was named the 2018 Realtor of the Year by the Livingston County Association of Realtors(LCAR) during its Aug. 15, 2018, general membership meeting.
At that same meeting, Lisa Bohlen, principal broker of Preview Properties in downtown Brighton, was named the 2018 Volunteer of the Year; and James Cole, financial services officer with GreenStone Farm Credit Services, was named the 2018 Affiliate of the Year,
Carol Griffith has been a member of the Livingston County Association of Realtors since 1977. She is a third-generation Realtor and currently serves as chair of the LCAR Governmental Affairs/RPAC committee, chair of the housing symposium taskforce, Michigan Realtors Director and Past President, and is the National Association of Realtors Federal Political Coordinator and regional Vice President for 2017 and 2018.
In addition, Griffith serves on the Michigan Realtors Personnel committee, Realtor Active in Politics committee, and is a RPAC Major Investor. In addition to serving the Realtor community, Carol is a member of the Livingston County Board of Commissioners, having served as the past chair and vice chair of the board, she is currently the chair of Finance. She is a member of the Howell Rotary Club, and the Brighton and Howell Chambers of Commerce. She is active with the Livingston County United Way, Cleary University Helen’s Circle, and has recently provided a four-year scholarship to a Cleary University student.
Lisa Bohlen has been a member of the Livingston County Association of Realtors since 2008 and currently serves on the LCAR Board of Directors, chairperson of the Food Drive for Gleaners and the LCAR Grievance committee, and is a RPAC major investor. Bohlen is a strong supporter of the Realtor community, and volunteers her time and talents wherever needed. In addition to the Realtor community, Lisa volunteers at the Detroit Zoo, the Ark, and the Michigan Angus Association. She enjoys kayaking, biking and spending time with friends and family.
James Cole has been a member of LCAR since 2010 and serves on the Affiliates committee and is an RPAC investor. He plays a major role in making the LCAR summer picnic a huge success, annual food drive for Gleaners, after hours, and many other LCAR activities and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hunting and playing golf.
