Catholic Charities receives grant to aid in substance abuse treatment

/

The DTE Foundation is supporting the Livingston County Catholic Charities substance abuse treatment program with a grant. The opioid and overdose crisis gripping America has devastated families and communities across America and here in Livingston County, and overdose deaths soared 29% this past year in light of the pandemic.

LCCC has seen a tremendous increase in the number of people seeking both substance abuse and mental health counseling in the past 18 months.

“We are grateful for this gift as we respond to the important community need,” said Mark Robinson, LCCC executive director. “We very much value this support from the DTE foundation to enhance our ability to serve those struggling with addiction.”
